Taisha's beginning modern dance class really saved me this quarter. I got so busy that I was forced to change the grading option to pass/no pass--thus betraying my Berkeley training, as far as I'm concerned--and couldn't make it to all the classes. But if I hadn't gotten back into some kind of fairly regular movement, I don't know what would have happened to my body! Or my energy level. But it's not just the fact of dancing itself that made me love this class so much. Taisha taught me a lot about finding my own way of movement, and not just adhering to what works for other people. She's a wonderful teacher and I know she'll only get better with time and experience. So when the quarter ended, I wanted to find a way to tell her how grateful I was for her class and her teaching. I spent a bit of time on this card, trying to get the dancers to look just right. I'm not totally pleased with the lettering, but I'm pretty happy with the dancers.
