These are the best brownies I know. They're good at room
temperature but sublime when warm.
They're so buttery and chocolatey, they
will make you feel much happier right away--I kid you not.
I made them the first time
with creamy European style butter and Scharffen Berger chocolate
and they were incredible.
Then, after they were gone, I craved them all
weekend, so on Monday I had to make them again. This time, though, I did
an experiment,
using regular butter and baking chocolate instead. They
were still amazing, but more earthly--not the heavenly brownies I'd made with
the better ingredients.
I'd say try them both ways. The recipe (and a little story about them) is on my journal, as is my update after I'd made them a second time.
The memory of these brownies will be with you long after you've
eaten the last crumb, believe me.
