Stir-fry in 2 teaspoons of peanut oil:
7/8 cup textured soy protein reconstituted in 1 cup mushroom broth
1 grated carrot
3 chopped green onions
1/4 cup finely chopped brown onion
1-1/2 teaspoons grated fresh gingerroot

Stir in 1 pound diced imitation crabmeat.

When mixture is cool, add white pepper, salt, soy sauce, Shao Xing wine, sesame oil, and about 1-1/2 teaspoon cornstarch.

This makes a ton of filling, more than enough for several batches of dumplings, fried rice, whatever.
