Happy Valentine's Day!

I know who I love, but do I know what I love? I've been trying to figure this out for years now, definitely since I started graduate school, but maybe even before. It's funny that something that seems so elemental -- finding and following one's passion -- turns out to be one of the hardest things to do. Is it our society? Is it just me? I don't know. A bit of both, probably.

I'm still not sure of what I want to do for the rest of my life, but at this point, grad school doesn't seem to be it. I'll be taking a break from it soon, and I plan to seriously explore the things I've discovered I love most: writing, thinking, drawing, teaching or working with people. Life is too short to stay dissatisfied!

In this spirit, I present this Valentine to you as a reminder of all the love that's already in our lives and all the love that still remains possible. Love is the most important thing, the only important thing. Whatever your plans for the day, know that you've got all my love coming at ya loud and strong! Go out and find love, share love, give love. GO TO IT!
